Our top priority is the health and safety of our guests, musicians and staff.
The WSO is delighted to welcome you back! Based on guidance from health authorities and appropriate government agencies we are approaching our concert offerings in phases. It may be different than your last visit—but we promise to deliver an outstanding musical experience.
TOP THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
The SoundBites chamber orchestra concerts require a reservation and RSVP. Maximum capacity is 150 attendees.
Face coverings are required for all guests, musicians, and staff.
All audience members will be screened for temperature prior to entry; those with a temperature reading of 100.4 or greater will be asked to return home.
A one-minute yes/no symptom screening is required. If you are symptomatic, please stay safe at home.
REDUCED SEATING CAPACITIES
Capacities will be reduced to 200 people or less (including musicians and staff). Oglebay Glessner Ballroom capacity is 400. The event space is only accessible to pre-registered guests. Seating will be arranged in pairs at tables, with each table at least six feet apart from any surrounding table.
ENHANCED CLEANING PROCEDURES
In conjunction with Oglebay, common areas and high touch points will be routinely cleaned throughout the event with disinfectants recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
DAILY HEALTH SCREENINGS, FREQUENT HAND WASHING/SANITIZING
Musicians and staff participate in daily health screenings and are expected to wash/sanitize their hands routinely. In accordance with municipality guidelines, everyone is required to wear face coverings. Employees of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra do not attend work unless they are symptom-free and accommodations are in place for all employees should they need to stay home.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Please do not attend a concert unless you have been symptom free for at least 72 hours. On the day of your reserved concert you will be asked to complete a private self-screen questionnaire via e-mail. This simple one-minute yes/no questionnaire screens for potential symptoms.
If you answer “yes” to any of the symptom descriptions, we ask that you self-quarantine safely at home and not attend the concert.
FACE COVERINGS REQUIRED
To protect yourself and others, and in accordance with municipality guidelines, everyone is required to wear face coverings at our concerts. If you don’t have a face covering upon arrival, disposable masks will be available. For the safety of all, we encourage you to keep your mask on throughout the concert, unless you are eating and drinking.
FREQUENT HAND WASHING AND SANITIZING
Take advantage of the hand sanitizing stations that will be available throughout the venue.
Maestro John Devlin and the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra musicians cannot wait to share music with you again! If you have additional questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us at 304-232-6191 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please look at the COVID safety protocols that Oglebay is taking.
If government restrictions prevent a live performance of any of these concerts, your tickets will automatically be transferred to receive an online stream of the concert with take-out options at Oglebay.
