Wheeling Symphony Orchestra’s Jazz Quartet Takes The Stage At Local Coffee House in Steubenville

(Wheeling, WV) Wheeling Symphony Orchestra (WSO) announces the next performance of the WSO on the GO series, featuring Wheeling Symphony’s Jazz Quartet. The performance will be held Friday, March 29 at 7:00 pm at Leonardo’s Coffeehouse & Renaissance Coffee Roasting Co. in Steubenville, OH.  This concert is free and open to the public.

The WSO on the GO ensemble features musicians Jeff Mangone, Curtis Johnson, Jack DiIanni, and Eli Lambie. Jeff Mangone is principal bassist and personnel manager for the Wheeling Symphony; in addition, he holds principal bass positions with Pittsburgh Opera, Ballet, Civic Light Opera, and the Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh. Curtis Johnson has had a renowned professional career as an R&B performer and has backed stars like Ray Charles, Little Anthony, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Chubby Checker, Chuck Berry, and Isaac Hayes.  He is a retired associate professor from WVU and has performed as a soloist with West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Jack DiIanni serves as principal timpanist with Pittsburgh Opera, the Wheeling Symphony, and the Pittsburgh Ballet. Over the years, Jack has played with a diverse array of musical groups in the Pittsburgh area including the Gateway to Music Percussion Ensemble, the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, the River City Brass Band, and the Pittsburgh Broadway series. Eli Lambie is a singer/songwriter, pianist, saxophonist, engineer, and keyboard player for Hit Play.
