(Wheeling, WV) Wheeling Symphony Orchestra (WSO) and Wheeling Symphony Auxiliary (WSA) announce three free events featuring performances from our WSO string quintet.  The concerts will be held on Saturday, December 7 at 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm and are free and open to the public.

The Eighth Note Children and Family Concert sponsored by the WSA and in partnership with the SMART Centre Market will begin at 12:00 pm at Artworks Around Town in Centre Market in Wheeling, WV.  The event will feature science demos by the SMART Centre Market and fun holiday musical craft led by members from the Auxiliary.  The performance from the string quintet starts at 12:45 pm.

The music continues with a WSO on the GO performance at Oglebay’s Wilson Lodge in Wheeling, WV.  The concert will be performed from 3:00 – 4:00 pm in Hickman Lounge.  Finally, Leonardo’s Coffeehouse & Renaissance Coffee Roasting Co. in Steubenville, OH will host a concert at 6:00 pm. The string quintet will feature musicians: Juan Jaramillo (violin), Anne Moskal (violin), Jennifer Gerhard (viola), Elisa Kohanski (cello), and Jeffrey T. Mangone (contrabass).

“These holiday performances are wonderful events throughout the community,” said Bryan Braunlich, General Manager of the WSO.  “We are thrilled to return to Centre Market, Oglebay, and Leonardo’s Coffeehouse with our incredible musicians. We are also so grateful to our friends from the Wheeling Symphony Auxiliary for supporting us and promoting us through these family concerts and events. We hope that everyone comes out to listen to some holiday classics that are sure to entertain you and place you in the holiday spirit.”

Because of the generous support of our sponsors and donors, including title sponsor McKinley Carter Wealth Services, all WSO on the GO concerts will be free to the public to entice and encourage new audiences to become long-time supporters. More information is available at wheelingsymphony.com.
